Art Styles In Focus

The run is uneven in time as well as in subject. Eleven of the thirteen appeared in the seven months between November 2023 and May 2024; then the series went quiet, with one piece in November 2024 and one in August 2025.

Some are artists whose work Midjourney reproduces well enough to be worth studying closely — Egon Schiele, Sandro Botticelli, Yayoi Kusama, Claude Cahun, Cai Guo-Qiang, Mary Fedden, Liu Ye, James Bidgood, Walter Van Beirendonck, Alfred Stieglitz. Others are subjects rather than people: poster art, graphic design, sticker illustration. What they share is the method — take one narrow thing, generate against it seriously, and report what came back, including the parts that did not work.

There is no grouping on this page, and that is a decision rather than an omission. Inventing categories for thirteen pieces would be decoration rather than structure. If the series grows past roughly twenty-five, that changes and this page changes with it.

This is the closest Midlibrary gets to the kind of work Midjournr exists to do. It is not a lookup and not a reference table: it is a judgment about how well a model handles something specific. Read it if you care about what Midjourney is good and bad at, rather than about which modifier to type. If you want the modifier, Midlibrary’s style library is the faster route.
