Twenty-six compilations, published on midlibrary.io between January 2023 and April 2025 — hand-picked, rendered sets of ten cinematic SREF codes, fifteen Renaissance styles, the twenty styles Midlibrary users overlook most. They split cleanly in two, and the split is this page.
SREF Code Compilations
Eight sets of style-reference codes, grouped by the look they produce, every one published between February and April 2025. SREF codes are numeric references you paste straight into a prompt — no vocabulary to learn and no modifier to spell correctly. Newest set first, which is the one place date ordering still earns its keep.
Style Compilations
Eighteen sets of named styles from Midlibrary’s library, grouped by genre, mood, or how people actually use them, spanning January 2023 to May 2024. Named styles are not interchangeable with SREF codes: they are documented differently, behave differently in a prompt, and survive model changes differently. Newest first here too.
About this index
The two groups exist because "show me SREF codes" and "show me styles" are different questions, and the answer sets do not overlap. That the split is also chronological — everything from 2025 on one side, everything before it on the other — is an accident of when Midlibrary published what. It turned out to be a useful taxonomy anyway, which is why this page has two groups rather than one date-sorted run of twenty-six.
Compilations are the most immediately usable thing Midlibrary publishes. A guide teaches you a mechanism; a compilation hands you twenty things that already work, with reference renders so you can see what you are choosing before you spend a generation finding out.
